Amber is the prehistoric resin of rare conifer trees. Resin has went through a number of changes over millions of years. The result is an exceptional gem with extraordinary properties. It is exploited and used by both craftsmen and scientist. It is probably only from land resin turned into different deposits of amber. The largest deposit of amber comes from the Baltic region, which covers eastern Russia, Poland and Lithuania.
