Usually Baltic amber is yellow or bright yellowish. Colors of amber range from white, yellow, brown to red. Also found greenish, bluish, gray and even black amber and more subtle shades and combinations are among them. Natural amber has a thin bark. After polish, natural color of amber reveals. Baltic amber has seven main colors, and about 250 shades. Various impurities that got into resin could make their own alterations (blue, green, black, and brown). Oxidation darkened and got color vibrant (red, black, rich yellow), gas bubbles - changed color of amber. In a certain density and form it detracts the light, which is seen as some kind of color.
